Let us study your request: "work orders by ORDER DESCRIPTION but in the wm device orders are displaying in order sequence i.e. sorted by AUFNR."

From the SAP WM perspective, the sorting function normally requires a unique key or identifier to ease the sorting process as that is best practice.

Example: Workorder ---- Description

100 - Description 1

101 - Description 2

103 - Description 3

104 - Description 4 and others.

The unique ID or identifier is the default setting to ease the sorting capability and is normally what the out of the box WM has. Sometimes it is hard in any production workflow to make the description unique like (PM, PM, PM) then the sort will only sort all the Preventive Maintenance in the sort.

To answer your question the field or screen in the Work Manager client is controlled in the Agentry Editor wherein there would be a tab tied to sort property. Again the default is the unique identifier to ease the sort. Most of the time it is a unique key is the easiest one. If you want to use description then this is where you need to modify it.

Please don't use a property that is based on a clickable filed like lastObject or a property that is dependent on something else as this may crash the client on sort. This is what I can suggest.

Have a great day.

Agreed, the order in which work orders are displayed in Work Manager is configured in the Agentry client.

Check your Agrentry configuration
