It's always a good idea to include your SAP S/4HANA version as different capabilities are available in different releases. And with Fiori including your SAPUI5 version also helps.
It also helps to know what specifically you are trying to change as different techniques may be relevant depending on what you are trying to achieve.
You can adapt or extend Overview Pages:
* From S/4HANA 1809 FPS01 (SAPUI5 version 1.60) you can use UI Adaptation at Runtime - this lets you add extra cards, such as Link List cards and KPI cards. You can also change the titles on cards and hide cards.
* From SAPUI5 version 1.62 and higher (we expect 1909 to start on SAPUI5 1.65, and you will also likely be able to upgrade your 1809 system to this) you will also be able create a Fiori elements Adaptation Project in the Web IDE to add breakouts and cards as a developer.
Below these versions you may need to copy the original Fiori app into the customer namespace, and then change the copy using the SAP Cloud Platform Web IDE. However try to avoid that if you can as of course you will not get any upgrade improvements.
