SAP Analytics Cloud: Error while Triggering Planning Sequence for a BPC Live Data Connection Model

Hello,

we have created a story with BPC live connection model and have followed all the steps as described in SAP Help under https://help.sap.com/doc/00f68c2e08b941f081002fd3691d86a7/release/en-US/15c4df4979304b69b52aa28fdc9b... but when executing the Planning Sequence following error appears:

We don't have any variables in the planning sequence but we have also applied the note note 2738235 to see if this would solve the issue.

Though the issue still remains.

Could you please advise how to solve this?

We are facing a similar issue but the error message is "cannot read property 'isTypeOfBW' of Null"

Hi,

for sure, that error is coming from the BW backend.

You must be missing some enhancements/corrections on the BW side - Our SAC frontend is asking the BW for functionality it doesn't understand.

I'd strongly recommend looking at Note 2541557 - "Support further SAP Analytics Cloud BW features" and running the BW Note Analyzer. I was getting errors like yours after having implimented a bunch of BICS INA notes without having done the manual steps asked of me 😉

I had to de-implement the notes, make various manual changes (which were all documented in the Note fixes), and then re-implement the corrections again.

p.s it's good practice to run the BW Analyzer frequently - the XML file changes every month or so - typically ahead of the SAC cloud being updated.
