Hello,
I have created a new AD group in Active Directory and added one member to that group. However, in Business Objects CMC, when I click Authentication>AD, and click the Update button, I do not see the new group under the group hierarchy list. However, if I add a user to an existing AD group, the user shows up in Business Objects under that AD group name. Did I miss a step somewhere? On the Authentication page in the CMC, under Mapped AD Member Groups, I see existing AD groups, however, I do not see the new AD group that I've created. Do I have to manually add the new AD group under Mapped AD Member Groups? I thought the groups were added automatically once I've clicked the Update button on this page.
"Do I have to manually add the new AD group under Mapped AD Member Groups?" YES
the users can get automatically updated once you have added the group (if configured to do so), but we will not add or remove groups automatically, that is a manual function the administrator of the BI system must perform.
