ORDER05 is pulling all line items

Hello Experts,

We wanted to generate ORDER05 IDOC for each line item of sales order. Output is configured and its generating at item level. But IDOC is generated it contain information of the other line items as well even if it was generated from an output of a specific order item. So in effect we get as many IDOCs as the order line item but with the same information in all. I dont know if this is a configuration issue, SAP issue or ORDER05 is supposed to work only for the order header? Please advice at the earliest

    Hi Prathib

Sounds like you have configured the output type on item level rather than at the Header Level so yes sounds like a configuration issue. It would really help if you supplied some screenshots here but definitely the ORDERS05 idoc should be generated from the Header output, not item.

1 ORDERS05 idoc = 1 Order (including all of the items!)

Hope this helps, if so please mark as Best Answer.

    Thanks & Kind Regards

    • Hi Prathib

Yes, you can do this without programming via transaction BD64 but you need to have set up the ALE Distribution Model. Select the idoc type and the business partner it relates to and you will then be able to set a filter. The only thing I am not sure of is if the Route is a selectable field in the filter but I believe you can add somewhere. To be honest, it would be easier to update the customer exit and simply ignore the items if the Route = your selection. This way all segments related to the item will be ignored.

For custom user exits check the following enhancement - VEDA0001, function module EXIT_SAPLVEDA_001 etc.

      Thanks & Regards
