Hello,
I am running Crystal Reports 2016 and Windows 10( new install of both) . When I try to open reports some open and some don't. I have noticed that anything with a parameter prompt does not open. The report opens in Designer View but Refresh does not fill in the data. I am not sure what is happening. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you
Hi,
The path is C:Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps:
Hopefully this is what you are looking for. Just realized that I didn't mention that I have to run Crystal Reports in Compatibility Mode- Win 8 for it to work.
Thank you.

Kevin,
Can you copy your Environment Variable PATH here?

what happens if you manually try to register those dll's using:
regsvr32.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x86\ParameterDesigner.dll
And do the rest.
That KBA is actually wrong, we support side by side install and if it's a bug it should be fixed.
If it fails to resgister then likely missing a dependency

Thank you, we never had a problem installing XI R2 and CR 2016 side by side. It is supported configuration. I will try to reproduce the issue.

That is what I thought. Please review:

Do you happen to know if there is a way to run Crystal Reports 2016 and Crystal Reports X1 R2.Net on same machine. I think that is what is causing the problem. We need both as one is used in an app and the other of course for Creating and modifying Crystal Reports.
Thank you
Are you just opening .rpt files from Crystal or are you connecting to BusinessObjects or Crystal Reports Server to open reports?

Is this fresh installation?
Check
C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\InstallData\logs\2019......\ErrorsAndWarnings.log
to see if you have dll failed to register errors. You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
