Are SCC Service Channels for SCP HANA Trial accounts still supported (401 Unauthorized)?

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone happen to know if SCC service channels to an SCP HANA trial DB are no longer supported?

I am seeing "Service channel could not be opened" whenever I try to reactivate a service channel I had set up (previously successfully) in Cloud Connector:

In checking ljs_trace.log, I found the below, indicating HTTP 401: Unauthorized:

The SCP subaccount configuration itself within Cloud Connector seems to be connecting fine; the issue only occurs when activating the service channel.

I have tried:

  • Deleting and re-creating the service channel
  • Deleting and re-creating the HANA DB in SCP
  • Removing and re-configuring the trial subaccount in SCC
  • Completely removing SCC and installing the most recent version (2.12.0.1)
  • Creating a new SCP trial account and new HANA DB, and configuring SCC with the new subaccount and service channel.

I have not found anywhere within SCP or the HANA instance where I can research why the 401 is being returned.

Is anyone else seeing a change in behavior for their SCP trial account service channels?

Thanks kindly,

Don Clickner

Looks like it's still Service channel issue with Neo trail but you can try opening db tunnel.

Here is the link for configuring db tunnel.

Dear Don,

I cannot find any new restrictions regarding trial accounts.

On the other hand, message such like "Invalid status of handshake response: 401 Unauthorized" are not raised by the SCP. This can be caused by an issue with the communication system, arrangement, or user.

You can gather hints from the KBA:

2699814 - SAP_COM_0200 Service Channel Could Not Be Opened

Also you can check it on your network basis level, and ensure that the proxy or even the firewall is not blocking this service channel connection to the Internet.
