WWI graphics not dynamically scaling

Hi All,

when working with label templates in CG42 with WWI, I'm having some issues with graphics.

Since the move to the new server

New server:

Windows server 2016

MS word 2016

WWI -SP46

we are no longer able to scale our wwi graphics dynamically according to the textbox the scrip code is in.

any tips on what might have changed and how to get around this?

hello

any change of "WWI" or "Winword" or "Windows" version need to be checked ; it is well known that some WWI versions does have issues with either e.g.

- font topics

- sizing topics

- etc.

Some weeks ago i have checked and identified lot of "WWI" topics in the label area which have been removed with some WWI version; but sorry to say: no clue what WWI version is now"up to date" (Sp 46 or something better?)

So it is always a good idea (after change of environment) to do a full WWI test; then if still some "issues" are left: don't waste to much time: Start OSS dialog

To do so: prepare a simple WWI template (and anything else what is needed for testing purposes) so that if SAP checks the topic in your system they understand clearly the topic

Hello Laurens Tytgat

I hope the issue got solved,

If not please reenter the coding into the text box and check and save & release the template, sometimes it will happen if you update the server or word.

As per the below code its should be dynamic change according to Text box size.

<11BRG002(M,Z_EHS_GLM_011;*)><01GZEG_ZEG23(G)[SZ:A;D:Additional Graphics]><11ERG002>

I hope this will help,

Thanks

apologies for my late reply.

the script I'm using links to a phrase with a graphic that I link in the workbench to the field additional graphics:

<11BRG002(M,Z_EHS_GLM_011;*)><01GZEG_ZEG23(G)[SZ:A;D:Additional Graphics]><11ERG002>

as you can see, size is set to dynamic (Sz: A;D)
this will bring up the icon and normally scale it towards the size of my textbox it's in. now it just gives me the icon with the size as per the upload to the server.

Thanks christoph, version is the same, everything else is working, only the dynamic scaling of icons is not.

<100DYNTXT(lower,upper)> is working for the text btw

Hello Laurens

if anything is fine on your side (WWI set up etc.); as explained: the next best step is: start OSS dialog using a "simple" WWI layout so that you can present the problem; what i know is: yes this "sizing" topic is sometimes not "stable"; so in one WWI version it does work; next it does not work (or if you change WinWord version the there is a differenceetc.); as i have checked the last time SAP marketplace a number of "bugs" have been listed for the new WWI version (so claiming that the new version are removing them) including "text sizing", issues with fonts etc; there have been may be 5 bugs listed (can not remember exactly) which should be removed with some WWI version

Only for information purpose. May be this threads could of interest do you: https://answers.sap.com/questions/11549704/wwi-dynamic-text.html

So:

Script to link to field in cg02 linking to phrase with WWI graphic.

The script should scale the icon towards size of text box. But doesn’t anymore. Used dynamic size for the graph, but comes in with original size

Hello

one topic i have missed: the "local" set up of WWI, Winword, Windows should be the same as on WWI gen server

If this is not true: it is nearly not possible to handle such situations. Especially on the WWI server farm it is business critical that any server does have the same set up

New Server information are correct - I have SP32 in my system. But i guess it will not impact in WWI - Graphic. Can you write more step what you are following for scaling your label.

Thanks
