FIORI Apps for SAP Analytics cloud

We are implementing Fiori apps for SAP Analytics Cloud Stories. It looks like SAP offers a feature to create tiles on the SAP Fiori launchpad which will directly launch the respective SAP Analytics Cloud Story.

The question is; Is there any restriction that the underlying SAC stories has to be build on S/4HANA or can we do this for all stories created in SAP Analytics Cloud irrespective of the data sources (S/4HANA/SAP BPC/SAP ERP/SAP BW...)

Please let me know if you have any thoughts/guidance which will help me in this matter.

Yes. That is right. I would also think the same that it would be independent of data sources. But all the documents and examples that came across me had S/4 HANA as data source and I couldn't find any on implementing this for a SAP ERP, SAP BW data sources...

So was just wondering if I am missing or had overlooked any facts which points to any kind of restrictions/issues on other data sources. I just wanted to be sure.

I would guess that the tiles created in SAP Fiori Launchpad are URL Tiles. So why should they be dependent on the data source?

Yes, I would agree with Gregor.
