CrystalRuntime.Application not registered properly

I’m trying to run a Crystal Reports report silently in Windows and then use the CrystalRuntime.Application & CrystalRuntime.Report objects to save the output as a .PDF. This is being done in the Progress 4GL language. I’m getting a "The automation server for CrystalRunTime.Application is not registered properly" error. I think I need to register the automation server for CrystalRuntime.Application (and maybe CrystalRuntime.Reports), but I don’t know how. Looking at the questions and answers here, it seems I may first need to download something to get missing .DLL's? I was told by a colleague that when CR was installed originally, only the necessary .DLL's were included. I searched the Windows registry for CrystalRuntime.Application but couldn't find it. I looked at installing the SDK for Visual Studio, but wasn't sure if I should install it or not because I was not involved with the original install and don't know if it will cause problems.. We have CR 2013, version 14.1.1.1036, Developer license.

No, but not tested with OpenGL, I suggest posting to their site and see what people have done who used to use CR runtime.

    Matt,

No, this won't overwrite your version of Crystal, it will just install the new SDK. The application will need to be compiled with the latest version of the SDK (orange/yellow button on the download page) and then you'll use one of the blue buttons to get the runtime to use when you're deploying the application. To install either one, you need to be logged in with Administrator rights so that various objects get registered correctly.
