Hi,
I did some performance analysis for a native HANA DWH and SID (ints) are a little faster in joining than string columns. Thats fine because it simply needs more memory during processing of strings. But using distinct count which creates a temporal table SIDs are much faster. Thats also shown in some SAP presentation.
The runtime is gone in BwPopSearch filter so I like to understand what is happen there. Without the distinct the diffrence in runtime is about 0,5s between SID or string as Join column but with BwPopSearch it became seconds. With Google I cannot find anything about this node in PlanWiz so perhaps somebody could explane what HANA does there.
Regards,
Nils
Hi Nils, I would like to ask you to open a SAP incident so that our development support can check our issue. Thanks Daniel Felsmann
