Hello,
I noticed that in a remote ATC context a field called person responsible is provided for local check variants but there is no person responsible field for global check variants. Am I missing something here or is there a reason for the field missing? We would like to have such a field for global check variants for documentation reasons and to have a proper knowledge about who has to be asked in case of issues or questions with a specific check variant.
Thanks for your help!

I'm afraid there is currently no such "person responsible" for a global check variant. As already mentioned, the "person responsible" for a local variant really acts more like a namespace than e.g. the AUTHOR field in TADIR for a development object, so it's not so much "missing" from the global check variants but rather would not make any sense there since these are "global", i.e. not in any particular user's namespace for check variants.
The only user associated with a global check variant is the last person to change it. That is not to say that your request doesn't make sense, but there currently simply is no such field.

Hello Clemens,
can you explain a bit more what you're looking for here? Each check variant is associated with its last maintainer via a "Last Changed By" field in the SCI transaction, regardless of whether it is global or local.
Where are you seeing this "person responsible" field for local but not global check variants in a "remote ATC context"? If you are referring to the "person responsible" entry on the initial screen of the SCI transaction, then this is effectively nothing more than a namespace in which the local versions of inspections, object sets and check variants exist, and its semantics are therefore unsuitable for their global versions.
Kind regards,
Björn

Dear bjoern_jueliger,
thanks for your comment. I'm sorry for my late reply - I wasn't able to reply earlier due to vacations and holidays. I'm talking about the field in transaction ATC > Manage Check Variants > Create a local Check Variant > "Person Respons." field.
I've highlighted the field I'm talking about. This field is only available for local check variants due to the technical reason you described, I think. Is there a different way to add the person responsible to a global remote check variant, for example via some kind of documentation field I'm unaware of?
Best Regards,
Clemens
