Auto Suffix added to Technical Names for KUT fields in C4C ("_KUT")

Hello all,

We have noticed a new change in KUT field names in C4C. We have newly added some KUT fields in various business objects like Customer, Service Ticket, Contract, Opportunity etc.

E.g of newly added fields name are technical name: ABC

These fields have been extended to the standard OData services. When checked in the OData service by making a GET call (through Postman/Soap UI etc.) we are seeing that the field name is now reflecting with a suffix "_KUT" auto appended. This is not in the technical name of the field when checked through the master layout.

E.g: Field Technical Name is ABC, however in the OData Get call, we are seeing it as "ABC_KUT". This was not happening earlier and might be a recent change.

Any pointers on this is much appreciated.

Hi,

It is new feature from 1905 release. It depends where you creaate fields. If you create fields with KUT it will have _KUT sufix. On the other hand if you create with SAP application cloud studio it will have _SDK sufix.

This is valid only for fields created after 1905 release. For older fields it will remain as it was.

Thank you Zoran. Yes, this is a new feature released by SAP with the 1905 release for the OData services as a metadata enhancement. Found the documentation for the same in the What's New for 1905.
