Does Enterprise Portal consume OData from ABAP Backend?

Hello.

I have NW EP 7.50 and ABAP Backend 7.50. Both are on-premise.

I want to use EP as Frontend Server for SAPUI5 and OData.

But I can't find gateway and maintain OData service function on EP such as SEGW and /IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE in ABAP Backend.

Doesn't EP have this function?

Hi Tae,

EP can consume Remote Content (Catalogs and Groups) from a ABAP system with the Gateway components using the FIORI_CATALOGS service. For more information refer to Note: 2563624.

EP/NW Java doesn't have a Gateway Services directory like on ABAP, although there are SOA configuration options in the NetWeaver Administrator tool (/nwa) and custom services could be written and deployed on AS Java. There is already a blog on same:
