BI Launch Pad vs Webi Rich Client (4.x)

What's the difference between BI Launch Pad and WEBI Rich Client to create new reports linked to a universe (Universe Design Tool)?

In particular I would to know if there are some problem of incompatibility in these cases:

- create a new report from Rich Client and then modify it with the BI Launch Pad

- create a new report from BI Launch Pad and then modify it with Rich Client

BI Launchpad, you directly create reports on the server, It will have timeouts if you are not active for sometime.

Rich Client: You can create report without login to server. You can store them in your local drive. and you can work offline as well. And there is no timeouts for Rich Client.

Reports created in Rich client and publish to BI platform, you ca edit them in BI Launchpad, and vice versa.
