Function does not fit into the existing function group

Hi Experts,

I cut a set of transports from ECC6 and installed them on a Netweaver 7.5 system, say A.

After that I cut transports from another netweaver 7.5 system( say B) for one function(this function is present in installed transports of A) .

Now I am trying to override this function content in existing transports of system A by installing transports cut from system B.

Since this function is having same function name and same function group so ideally it should have overwritten existing function in system A.

But instead I am getting this error.

I have read many sap notes but all of them were for sap support packages.

My question is about custom transports.

It would be of great help to me if someone is having any idea, what are the possible reasons this error occurs or where can i find logs for detailed analysis of the problem.

Thanks a lot.

PFA screenshot of the error I am getting.

Check this post, there are 2 options provided.

If you want to import only one function, i suggest that you try option 2

But we cannot use some workaround for our case since it's for our release product.

Thanks,

Partish

Issue has been resolved. As mentioned in message TW165 internal number of FM should be same in target and source system. Somehow while creating FM I created them in opposite order.

Internal number as far as I came to know you can check from function attributes-> IncludeName

Please refer this message.
