Hi Everyone,

If anyone can help on this would be appreciated. I have created one excel document through Excel report and interactive analysis designer. I tried to use the save as button under the Excel report tab, but it only automatically saves the document in to a Temp folder and not giving me an option where (the destination folder) to save that document in. similiary , I can not open the existing report using the open report button as well. Can anyone help on this?

Thanks in advance

This is a continuation to the above info,...

When I try to create a new Pivot table, I have got the following warning messages:

Dear Biniam,

Referring to error message within attachment, another member of SAP Community faced similar error and their problem seems to be resolved. Could you pls try steps mentioned here: https://answers.sap.com/questions/12458953/index.html.

  • Error message: Designer fur Excel-Berichte und interaktive Analysen kann nicht gestartet werden. Wenden Sie sich an den Systemadministrator
  • English translation using Google Translate: Designer for Excel reports and interactive analysis can not be started. Please contact the Systemadministrator

Please revert if it resolves your problem.

Dear Sam,

It is really appreciated. The document and the process you have forwarded were absolutely correct. The problem I found with my case was that of Admini Authorisation problem and so...

With the Excel Report Ribbon I could work without any problem i.e. It is working properly and I can work with all the functions. I can also see the saved report in SAP -Excel and interactive analysis folders.

But I couldn't be able to work with the Interactive analysis ribbon which shows me the same problem as before "ask the administrator etc). I will see how to figure out .

I thank you very much for your support and wonderful effort..

Best Regards

Biniam

Dear Sam,

It is really appreciated. your support means a lot. I have gone with the process and thats why I could be able to see and log on into the excel analysis window. But the problem is, the open report and save as report from the excel report button, and creating new pivot are not actively functioning. Further more, I cannot get access to the Excel report and interactive analysis designer, although I logged in with my own id and have all the authorisations. Here in the attachment is the message I got from SAP window. 2019-05-24-13-48-48-window.png

Thanks in advance

Hello Biniam,

You have 2 questions here.

1) Excel report and Interactive Analysis: Please refer 5.2.2 of SAP Documentation about Saving reports created in Excel.

2) Error on new Pivot table: It is an error specific to Excel. It might help if you search on web for `Error: Exception from HRESULT 0x800A03EC`. There are several workarounds for this particular error.

Sam

Dear Sam,

I thank you for your valuable information. You are right the document gives how to save and ceate reports in Excel. I know the process and the problem is, the Save as Excel report and open report buttons are not active. That was the problem I have and I couldn't be able to go further. I have installed the Excel Plug in into my local Excel. Then I wanted to operate from this. But I am not able to work with save as and open report buttons. Also with the Interactive Analysis section, I cannot create and do further actions. What do you think that the cause could be?

Thanks you for your support again
