issue in creating a sales order with option create with reference

Hello experts,

I have an issue in creating free delivery in VA01, with the option create with reference, in order to copy from an existing one.

the problem is there is some lines with a specific item Category, were displayed with 0 quantity, even if they are not out of stock.

could anyone tell where i can find the customization point to solve the problem ?

Thanks in advance,

In a sale order, if there are multiple line items and only certain line items were delivered, and if you create a new sale order with reference to this, then, the standard would be to fetch the open data to the target document. Again, as I already said, creating sale order with reference to another sale order is not a Best Practice and hence, obviously, you would have some issue.

Thank you so much for your help.

However i just did another test, i created a free delivery order .The ordered quantity is delivered so i've used it as a reference to create another free order. the lines were copied without any problem in quantity.

but some lines were copied with zero in quantity, which is not normal.

Ideally, creating a sale order with reference to another sale order is NOT a Best Practice. Moreover, if the ordered quantity is delivered / billed, and if you again refer that sale order, then, obviously, the quantity would be zero which is perfect

Thanks for you reply.

Effectively the reference was already delivered, however not all lines were copied with zero in quantity.

Could you kindly explain why it would be perfect ?

What is the business process and why you were creating a sale order with reference to existing sale order?

I wanted just to copy lines from an existing free delivery order, containing the same informations.

but some lines were copied with zero in quantity, which is not normal.

Thanks for your help.
