Requirement of booking the absence type and attendance type on same day

Hi,

We have a requirement of booking the absence type and attendance type on same day.

we use a custom portal for the time entry

The Attendance type is a non-working day for the specific employee group and then we’re trying to maintain the mandatory absence type against it on the time sheet portal. By doing this, the system throws an error message that there is a collision with a full day attendance or absence type.

We have an idea of changing the time constraint classes in the infotype level to resolve it but we just want to know the implications after changing the time constraints.

we have a concern about the impact on the existing functionality.

Please let us know your views on the implications.

Time constraint classes can be maintained at absence / attendance level as well. You can try using this option. To make sure it works correct with other attendances and absences , check the reactions in v_554Y_B.

You need to ensure that the change of time constraint should not have impact on other absences and attendances.

As per my observation it is not good to change the time constraint. lets wait for other views.
