How to change the BG Job Name

Hi All ,

How to change background job name if it is already released status.

i.e.

i was scheduled one job later user wants change that job name . at this time what i can do ? please advise me.

Hi Raju,

In our environment we have created the common user id for all the BG jobs. when any one requesting we will create the BG job in the common user id, also you can avoid the user id locked or deleted from the production system.

Why i am asking , all my questions are posted here belongs to production system. I will scared ( at the time of auditing we need to explain to them what is the reason) to change anything related tickets,because of if auditing is . that is the reason i will post my question here and take your advice.

Raju,

I recommend you to search about these issues before raising a new question. If the job name is not in the way you expected then the only option is to recreate the job. You cannot rename a job. You may instead copy the existing job in Tx SM37 to a new name and delete the old one or create a new job in Tx SM36 and delete the old one. If all the steps in the job are correct then use the copy feature in Tx SM37.
