ACDOCA vs BSEG in ABAP

Dear all,

I am new on S4H and I would to use ACDOCA table in a program to update in mass FI documents (field ZUONR).

We want to use ACDOCA because we have needed informations that we we are unable to find using BSEG.

At the begining I thought that we had the same number of items for one FI document in ACDOCA and BSEG... But not all! I have 21 lines in ACDOCA and 20 lines in BSEG (SD Invoice using VF01). So why?

Is there a way to map ACDOCA item to BSEG item?

ACDOCA is only usable for reporting and not at all in order to update FI Doc. using transaction FB02 / FB09 or BAPI?

Thanks for your help.

David

    Hi

    Read the SAP note

2297729 - No Entry View for some posting documents

In S/4HANA and S/4HANA Finance table ACDOCA contains all relevant fields for document display, therefore BSEG/BSEG_ADD are no longer needed for GL view of document display.

They are still needed for open item management. Several processes not involving open item managed GL accounts - like (ledger-specific) postings within GL closing steps - do not require an entry view anymore, therefore such processes do not write into these two tables any longer, for example:

    1. CO processes

    2. Foreign Currency Valuation

    3. GL Allocation

    4. FIORI App "Manage Currency Adjustment"

In future there will be more processes following this concept.

As a consequence for the posting documents generated by such processes mentioned above there is no entry view in document display (transaction FB03, FB03L) any more. You can identify such postings per field BKPF-BSTAT and ACDOCA-BSTAT = 'U'.

    Regards,

    Nawa

You can update ZUONR field from FB02 (using LSMw) or from inside FBL3N
