Display Custom Field in ESS (Standard View)

Hi Experts,

I have created a custom field (ZZTEXT) in info type 0105. I have attached this field in structure CI_P0105 through transaction code PM01.
There is no problem when it comes to ECC, the field displays and updates properly.

I want to display the custom field in ESS without creating a custom component configurations in FPM_LIST_UIBB, FPM_FORM_UIBB, FPM_OVP_COMPONENT and etc.

I was able to control the standard field of the info type 0105 through tables V_T588MFPROPC and V_T588MFPROPS. However, when I add the custom field, it is not showing in ESS.

Is there a way we can display custom field in a standard ESS?

Yes, there is....but you stated "I want to display the custom field in ESS without creating a custom component configurations"...which makes that not possible. haha

Essentially, your first steps are right. Now that your custom field is part of the decoupled IT structure, you need to "expose" it. To do so, you simply create a custom app configuration with your custom field placed where you want. Then in the ESS config, you tell it to use your "Z" app config (I believe you can set this "global" or country specific even....not at my SAP GUI client and don't recall off hand). That should do it for you. The framework handles the rest for you.

Hi Christoper - I ended up creating a custom component configurations instead.
