SCP: Cloud Foundry and ui5 view extension

Hi Experts,

I was thinking about extending the html5-module in my MTA-project with extension points.

So I tried to create a new Extension-Project in WebIde, but somehow, it's not possible as you only can choose applications from abap-repository or from scp-neo (apparently). Furthermore I asked myself, how the extension points might be handled in combination with multitenancy?

Does anyone know, if it's not possible then, or if it's still in progress or is there another way to do it? Please let me know, if there is a blog post about this subject, as I have not found any information to this.

Hi Paige,

we are working on a concept, although this is not trivial in the multi-tenancy context - if we are talking about the same. My assumption is that you are looking for something which is similar to the Business Add-Ins (BAdI) in Abap, where you can plug in tenant-specific custom code to a multi-tenant application. Guaranteeing isolation in the Cloud in combination to staying application context aware is the challenge.

Functions-aaS/Lambda is definitely the right technology to be used to offer such a mechanism, but we are not complete yet to talk about it. So stay tuned... we are working on it.
