MRP ReOrderPoint Type and Procurement Type F do not take into account Planning Horizon

Dear Colleagues,

I have a question regarding MRP execution. The case is that I would like to use Reorder Point Planning as an MRP Type taking into account other requirements (such as Reservations for Production Orders) within a Planning Horizon. When executing the MRP (NETPL mode) and using a Replenishment Lead Time, the system doesn't take into account the requeriments correctly. I guess it is something related with the Procurement Type 'F'.

Do you know how to set a planning horizon for this scenario?

During the MRP Run, Procurement Type =(F, E,X,), does not have any impact, in considering the requirements. This procurement type only decides, either to generate the Planned Order/ Purchase requisitions, depending on the Control parameters entered, during the MRP Run,
In general, if the Procurement Type = F , >>>> Creates Purchase Requisitions
if the Procurement Type = E, >>>Creates the Planned Orders
Default procurement type will get populated in the Material Master, based on the Material Type, as per the configuration settings maintained for the Material type( T Code : OMS2)
Ex : Raw material ( ROH)>>> Procurement Type =F (External procurement)
Semi Finished (HALB)/Finished (FERT)>>> Procurement Type = E /X ( In House/Both)
MRP Type & Procurement doesn't dependent, on each other

Planning Horizon is maintained at the Configuration Level, either at the Plant parameters(or) MRP Group Parameters, in general ( T Code : OPPQ/OPPR)

Hello,

Set the flag "Plan regularly" in the MRP Type customizing (transaction OMDQ) and then check results.

Please refer SAP note 1849233 - Reorder point planning does not consider external requirements within replenishment lead time.

Another option is to run Global MRP planning (transaction MD01 / MDBT) with 'Processing key' NEUPL. Please consider that the 'Processing key' NEUPL can lead to performance problems. For further information please consider SAP note 204517.

Thanks for your opinions and suggestions, but unfortunately still not working. The problema is that how can I make the Replenishment Lead Time broader for a ROH material (Material which has to be purchased). Thus, I will be able to modify the Planning Horizon.

MRP Type customizing transaction OMDQ please ensure the following setting.

Please read SAP note 2613072 - Reorder point MRP planning does not consider planning horizon

the logic behind the Reorder Point MRP type is different and only one replenishment proposal is created to cover the reorder point and external requirements. In this case the Reorder Point Planning has limited functionality and does not take into account planning horizon.

MRP planning works as designed, but it can be changed with BAdI MD_CHANGE_MRP_DATA method change_mdpsx_mdrs.
