Using CPI Runtime Node with 3rd Party Identity Provider?

Dear experts,

is it also possible to use a 3rd party identity provider which contains communication users for system communication (with role esbmessaging.send)?

Example: Sender System A uses a technical user with role "esbmessaging.send" which is maintained in the user store of a 3rd party identity provider instead of a S-User?

Thank you for your advice!

Hi Florian,

CPI uses BASIC authentication for system communication. Currently, 3rd party IdP's are not supported. Only SAP ID Service or SAP Identity Authentication can be used.

The role will always be assigned on the SAP CP side i.e. mapped to the user ID. The identity provider does not handle authorizations to applications.

Best Regards,
