I would like to know if there is a way to default or hardcode the server url at install. Something tells me that I have to use the branding process, but I am not sure where to start. Any help is greatly appreciate it.

Regards,

Victor

Hi Mark,

Thank you for the link. I looked at all the files .ini, nsh and nsi, and I dont seem to find line code where I can update/hardcode the Agentry server name. Can you please point out exactly where I should be making this change/update?

Victor

This is the old PDF for Agentry branding tied to WinCE.

Good thing it is still available.

Victor,

Yes, you are right it is all in the branding process as some of the configuration file (setup file) will have an entry tied to it.

Please also note that on the newer version of SAP Mobile Platform server or SDK (Somewhere between SDK SP11 to SP13 - can't remember the details now), our documentation claims that we have ended Windows Mobile (CE) support due to at least two most popular reasons:

  1. Microsoft themselves dropped support for it. <-- very important to consider as the actual hardware does not have support at all (when you are at the point of buying a hardware).
  2. The WinCE devices have less power (processing) to do more advanced processing work with our newer Agentry features.

Best Regards,

Mark

Hello Mark,

Yes you are correct, Windows CE devices are out of supported. We are in the midst of facing them out and will be using Android based devices. Until then, do you think you can point me to a link or provide some documentation on how to brand the url into Window CE Agentry applications? I'd much appreciate it. Thanks

Victor

By the way, we are using SMP 3.0 SP08 PL04. I know we are a little behind but we are stuck because of our WebSphere 8.5.5 Java 7 dependency.
