Hi all,
we wanted to make the SAP System Maintenance automatically, i mean: when we have an planned outage we wanted to schedule an event (for instance on crontab) and this event should put the jobs on hold, lock the users and create a work move in order to stop the monitoring in solution manager. The two first step are pretty easy to implement but we don't know how to schedule a work mode automatically (outside the IT Calendar or Work Mode Management tool).
We were thinking about an function module or a report which we could run after event, something like that.
Does anyone know if that is possible and how to do it?.
Hello José Manuel,
You may try to use WMM APIs to do that. For more information, please download the attachments of this SAP Note: 2391688 - Workmode API Documentation.
If your Solution Manager 7.2 is on SP03-06, you may have to apply the following corrections: 2552317 - Issue Scheduling Work Mode for Technical Scenario using API
Thanks and best regards,
Carlos
