Dear Experts,

We are facing with one issue, we have workaround for the issue. But could you please suggest us the fix/best approach for the issue.

The issue is, sometimes few of our scheduled reports are pulling the data partially due to time limit 12 minutes which we have set in universe and the load on the server, but the instance is showing as Completed successfully in instance history. This means false information is going to business.

One workaround for this issue which we are doing currently is, we are monitoring the scheduled reports manually, if any instances completes in more than 12 minutes we are rescheduling them. When we reschedule them as there is no load on the servers only one instance runs at that time it is completing in less than 12 minutes successfully with no issues. One time we have missed monitoring the instances, at that particular day 1 instances fetched partial data it lead to issue.

The other workaround for this issue is to increase the time limit in the universe from 12 minutes to 15 minutes. But I'm not sure whether it is fix for it.

Can you please suggest other workaround/resolution for this issue.

Increasing timeouts is a good solution if your server is able to handle higher load... so this boils down to sizing your server to the tasks you have for it.

Under Publication properties> Additional Option> there is a delivery rule parameter:
You can try by selecting option ( If scheduled content has been fully refreshed and test)

If you are in BI 4.2 sp5, there is an option to check for partial data. Report will not be sent if there is partial data.

It seems the issue you are having is due to sizing for AJS. Please follow the best practices.

Hi Jawahar,

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, we are using 4.2 SP6 Patch 2. Can you please suggest on how to check the option which you have mentioned above.

Hi Jawahar,

I got the option which you have mentioned above, while scheduling the report, able to view a new option "Delivery Rules".

In that a option is availble with below comments,

"The scheduled content has been successfully refreshed and is not partial"

If it is partial the instance is displaying as failed.

Can you please confirm whether it is the same option you are suggesting.
