I have just installed MDM but my SQL Server Service manager is not connected. What do I need to do next in order to get my concel and other MDM components running.
Hi Nirav,
I hope you installed MDM Server, Console and other client components.
1: Start your SQL Server
2: Open your console
3. Mount your server
4. Start your Server
5. Set your DBMS properties.
If you are done with all the above steps, then you can start creating repositories or start unarchiving the standard repositories that come with your MDM installation.
Please refer to <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_mdmgds55/helpdata/EN/index.htm">MDM Documentation</a> for further details.
Regards,
Rajani Kumar

Hi,
DBMS Settings:
1. Make sure the SQL Server is running.
2. From the MDM Console, right click the on the mounted server and select DBMS Settings.
a. Select the DBMS Server
b. SQL Server username. This user should have DBA rights. In case of sql server you use "sa" in place of user id. And type the password.
c. then it will prompt for Data path and all. Accept the default values.
You can refer to the link provided by Rajani, which has step by step instructions.
Thanks and Regards

Thank you Rajani Kumar.
I used cdphl246 and vgphl101 as the server name based on the installation guide. The message I get is the network path could not be found. I have not set the slave and master data do I need to do that first.
