setup the stmp server using authentication in Data Services

Hi ,

We need email alerts in the ETL jobs. So we configured the smtp_to configurations in the server manager.

There we are giving the smtp server name/IP and sender email address. This is working fine for us. But Client requesting to use authentication ( user name & password). Here there is no option to provide the password.

Could you please let me know how to provide the authentication for smtp server in SAP Data services job mail alerts.

Is the CMC server mail server setup applicable for job mail alerts?

hello current Data Services native SMTP server does not support authentication methods.

To use authentication methods for SMTP you will need to download a third party SMTPserver, configure the user authentication and then use the Cmd function to trigger the email process.
