Hi,

I am just upgrading a BI 4.1 SP7 deployment to 4.2 SP3. On the web tier installation process ends succesfully but after checking to tomcat logs I have noticed tons of warning messages as the following one during the deployment of the BOE app on the tomcat working folder:

Feb 10, 2017 12:33:07 PM org.apache.catalina.webresources.Cache getResource WARNING: Unable to add the resource at [/WEB-INF/eclipse/plugins/webpath.AnalyticalReporting/web/dhtmllib/images/skin_default/slider_cursor_inv.gif] to the cache because there was insufficient free space available after evicting expired cache entries - consider increasing the maximum size of the cache

I have checked that despite the warnings the tomcat BOE working folder seems have being properly created (at least all the files referred in the warning message have been copied into it) and the platform runs smoothly but I am a bit worried about these messages.

My question is: it is normal to see these warnings during the creation of the working folder (I don' think so? How to get rid of them?)

The link below explains how to manage this kind of issues but I would like to know if other people suffered same issue before open a case. Thx.

Hi Dennis,

Yes, I know. But my doubt comes about the sense of having to apply such a set of changes on Tomcat for a default upgrade. Sounds strange not having found any note in the Knowledge Base regarding this warning.

But you don't have to :) those are just warnings.
And tuning tomcat for proper operation is not exact science, its is based on particular deployments and demands of your users....
