4.7 Upgrade

Hello,

We are considering a 4.6c to 4.7 TECHNICAL ONLY upgrade (using SD,MM,WM,FI). Can this particular upgrade be considered like you would a HotPack upgrade? Or has the environment changed that much?

I have reviewed the SAP provided upgrade guides. SAP wants to do an upgrade assement for a lot of $.

All I want to is how difficult this really is and how long it might take. Comments from anyone with real upgrade experience would help.

Jim,

There are other alternatives to upgrade assessment. I can give you a better quotation.

The technical portion of the upgrade may be 3 man-days, maximum, but functional is another matter. If you are not doing a regression test on SD,MM,WM,FI, then it would be less time on the functional side.
