"Tag_Name: Multiple tags found; unable to resolve tag Tag_Name" while storing data to PHD system.

We are trying to store few tag values in PHD(Historian database) having OPC UA HDA connection. Sometimes the values gets updated on time but sometimes it gives the mentioned error. the frequency of this error is random.

*Tag_Name is the name of the tag that is configured in the Plant Information Catalog of MII

To whom is this directed? There is no MII team here, just folks who try to help out with interesting or challenging questions. This is not the helpdesk. If you feel it necessary to open a ticket, you will have to go to Services Marketplace or call in.

If you are directing your own team, you may not want to do that here, but rather privately.

Regards, Mike

Looks like you have the same tagname in folder MESPHD and in the root. My guess is that one or the other needs to be removed. I am not a PCo expert (not anymore), so hopefully someone with more recent experience can review the logs and confirm my theory.

Cheers, Mike

Without seeing more detail, my first guess is that you have duplicate tagnames between MII and the historian. When trying to resolve those tagnames, sometimes it gets the right one and sometimes not.

Check your entries in the Plant Information Catalog of MII and also the tags in the historian. The system is telling your that there are duplicates somewhere. Or a duplicate reference in the PIC in MII. Since some of these resolve successfully, compare the listings in both historian and PIC for the ones which resolve and the ones which do not.

It looks like there is something consistently wrong with how the two systems are configured to work together.
