SAP Control Center - Unable to authenticate resource (SAP Netweaver AS ABAP 7.52 SP01)

Dear All

I've managed to install SAP Netweaver AS ABAP 7.52 SP01 on a virtual machine running Linux openSUSE Leap 15.0.

It works!

I'm new to Sybase (SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise 16.0) but I've realized there is a tool called SAP Control Center, which can be used to monitor and manage the database.

I've installed this software.

What I did not managed to do, and what brings me here, is that I'm unable to authenticate a resource (my ABAP 7.52 machine) in this tool.

When I try to do it, I get a time out:

Port used for the connection: 4903.

Host names used: localhost, vhcalnplci, 127.0.0.1

Any hints on this matter will be highly appreciated

Here is the log: in second 20 I log into SCC. In second 29, when authenticating server vhcalnplci in SCC, user sccadmin and the same password are not accepted...

Question: why not?
