US EIN suffix

Hello,

We have been successfully sending the US 9 digit EIN to Customs for AES filing where the 00 suffix automatically gets assigned by CBP to make it 11 digits. However, our trade compliance team have said the 00 is no longer acceptable and that we need to send the true suffix. They say this was a change when the transition happened to ACE. However, the US2 tax ID type in the Business Partner does not allow more than 10 digits. The EIN with the suffix cannot be maintained without receiving an error upon save. Has anyone else needed to accommodate sending the 2 character "rider" or suffix to US CBP?

Thanks,

Jessica

Hello Jessica,

Just a quick review. Did you check you Country-Specific Field Checks in transaction OY17? I think that might fix the issue.

Regards, Dean.
