Business Partner Validity period - Appearing in Search result

Hi Expert,

I am creating Business Partner from Tcode - BP - and requirement is that this Business Partner must be only valid till next 10 days ( Or say there should be some validity /expiry date ) .

Can anyone tell me where to put this validity end date in BP so that this should not appear in the search result as well

Dear All,

We have find a way out , setting a check on the search query which checks the table BUT001.

So now the check will confirm if the validity date mentioned is smaller than the current date and based on that it will not display the BP name in front end.

Hi Mohammed,

Within BP transaction in change mode, click on the " create validity Period" icon next to validity period. You may enter the validity end date here. This will create 3 time slices viz.
1. 1/1/2019 till the old validity date
2. Current validity date created manually
3. End of manually created validity period in previous step till 12/31/9999

You may check for updated time slice in table BUT000_TD

Please note that there will always be a time slice with end date of 12/31/9999 due to which BP number will always be available in system . At later stages, if you want to delete the BP, you may do it using transaction BUPA_DEL. However deleting BPs is not advisable as there might be associated data with the BP and you need to deleted these dependencies too before deleting the BP.

Thanks for your reply .

I could find that option and I did maintain the dates but still it is appearing in the employee search.

I am creating a Business Partner - selecting role - external - and entering validity period (eg. 5/22/2019)

and if i search in employee search anywhere in SAP ( HR /SAP EHSM ) I can still see the person name .

I need to understand If the search is linked with validity period or not .

What are your thoughts on this ? @Ajay jain
