Does screen painter run with saprouter?

Hello All,

.

I connect to my ABAP system using saprouter string with a password.

I want to run screen painter with this configuration but I get "no response from graphical screen painter exiting" error.

After searches I found that screen painter uses EU_SCRP_WN32 TCP IP RFC connection. So when I test this connection, it gives the same error, either.

According to note "101971 - 37527 Graphical full screen is not available (RFC)" 's step 1 as I understood, it seems as if I must open 33## port of the connecting system.

Does anybody run screen painter via saprouter without opening the 33## port of the system?

Can't I configure RFC connection to use saprouter? (By the way my saprouttab has P * x.x.x.x 33## line already)

Or can't I use screen painter via saprouter?

.

Thanks and Regards,

  • Do as said in the note 101971 - 37527 Graphical full screen is not available (RFC) or use the alphanumeric screen painter (it's my preferred way of editing screens since I find the graphical tool starting too slowly). If anybody has a better way than SAP's solution, then don't hesitate to propose it to SAP!

  • I believe the config required in SAP router is the best way to get the GUI editor. In a customer system I'm working on, I can connect to the system without SAP router, but for GUI layout editor, I definitely require the router string, as the basis have made the appropriate configs in the SAP router already.

  • Hello Mithun Kumar,

Can you tell me about the config of saprouter for layout editor?

Is there any note, link etc? (Mey you ask to BASIS team, please?)

As I mentioned since layout editor is using TCP IP RFC EU_SCRP_WN32, saprouter string cannot be used for this rfc. Although saprouttab has permisson for 33## port, layout editor does not work.

    Thanks and Regards,
