My team has been using Crystal report 2011 since few years ago, and we would like to purchase 1 set for our new colleague. We already have reports created using the Crystal report 2011.
We then downloaded the trial version of Crystal Report 2016, and when we try to use this to run the reports created, we encountered an issue.
The crystal report hangs (not responding) while “Accessing Database”. Will you be able to assist?

You need to test if the problem with application or with connectivity.
Try to create a simple report of local .txt or .xls (Excel file). Does it work?
If new report works then start troubleshooting your report connectivity. Is it ODBC connection? What database?
