Changing data type of an object in universe - UDT

Hi All,

Just wanted to know the impact of changing the data type of an object from number to character in UDT. The data type defined in the DB(MS SQL server) is int.

Just want to know if the change in universe impacts the reports where this object is being used?

Yes, it will impact the reports if the measure is used in the report where it is being aggregated across various dimensions.

There will be impact in existing reports if same object is used in report variables/filters.Some of variables/filters will not work as usual.

Instead of changing of existing object, you can create new object with different data type.

BTW why you want to change the data type in universe.if it's already number in data base than same you have to use in universe.
