I have a dataset in my source table, which has 3 columns FirstName,LastName,Deptname.I'm setting up a database for my company where I need to generate a Empid as a column for all the employees in the source table
The Empid should look like
1.It should start with first 4 letters of the deptname
2.Concatenate it with first letter of firstname and first letter of lastname
3.Followed by consecutive numbers for each department at the end of the empid
Eg of how an empid should look like: BANKRK1
How this can be achieved in SAP BODS 4.2?What are the transformations which needs to be included?Which transformation does which job?
