MSME Registration code in Vendor Master

Dear All,

As per my client requirement, we need to enter MSME code and if possible certificate expiry date in Vendor Master. After going through some previous queries in the community, I found that Minority Indicator field can be used for this. But, is this SAP Standard functionality to store MSME code in this field? As per the SAP documentation provided, this field is only relevant to USA. If we store the data in this field for vendors other than USA, will there be any problem?

Please provide correct solution.

Hi,

If its only for tracking purpose, you may check the field "industry" in vendor master - control data view - under reference data tab.

akpt.777 ,Thanks for your response. But, the field you are referring to is being used already for some other classification in my client.

So, I want to know if I can use Minority Indicator field and will there be any impact if I use this field for this purpose?

MSME - Micro, Small and Medium enterprises. This MSME code enables to determine the Vendor if he comes under MSME registration.

Due to this MSME registration, Vendor payment related transactions should be made on some predefined Terms and Conditions.

My client wants to determine MSME vendors and make sure payments are done as per rules.
