Fiori group not visible in PFCG role menu

Hello community,

I created a new Fiori tile group through tx /UI2/FLPD_CUST (Launchpad Designer) and added some tiles to that group.

However, this group does not show in the PFCG role menu under Menu>SAP Fiori Tile Group. This is so for all custom groups. Already existing app groups are shown and can be added without problem.

Custom app catalogs work fine and can be added through PFCG.

Is there a transaction to update or synchronize the table were groups are stored? Might it be a cache issue?

Netweaver release is 7.4 SPS 17 with SAP_UI 751 SP003 and Fiori FES 3.0 SPS 03 on a central-hub SAP Gateway Server.

Help is much appreciated.

Marvin

Hello Manesh, I am assigning the tile catalogs and groups in the SAP Gateway Frontend Server.

In which system have you created the tiles? What I am checking is if you are using the launchpad designer url from gateway for creating tiles and role creation in gateway for assinging the roles then it should work fine.

I followed the below SAP note

https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/0002762770

Run the following reports in your frontend system:

/UI2/PAGE_CACHE_RESET

/UI2/PAGE_CACHE_CREATE

It works for me.

can you run /ui2/flc on the group to see if any issues with it?

I've found in PFCG that I need to exit and reload the transaction to add new groups or catalogs of pfcg menu. The Menu > Add Catalog/Group pop-up needs to be refreshed to search for the newly created object

Hello Colleen, /ui2/flc did not show any errors. In fact, I could not find said group there. Both, group and catalog were created in CUST scope. But to my knowledge that should work either way. As far as I can tell there are no issues with the catalogs, just the newly created groups that wont show.

Also, I have refreshed the transaction several time including logging out of the system. Is there a way to re-index all groups?

stupid question... is there a chance you built you catalog in one client and trying to add it to PFCG in another?

if you close FLPD and relaunch, can you see the Fiori Group that you created? Is there a chance that you have backend authorisations restricting you?
