Splitting of WIP account

Hello Everyone,

I have a question regarding WIP account, We are implementing Product Cost By Order and there is a requirement to split the balance sheet WIP account based on the type of production order. I tried creating a new RA version but it looks like it just copies the G/L assignment from standard RA version 0.

I was wondering if there is any other way to achieve this in Standard SAP.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Prakhar,

In OKG8 you also have a secondary RA cost element (category 31) that can be the driver.

Use different RA keys, substitute them based on order type, use same version 0, same line IDs, but different Cost Elements in OKG4 based on RA key.

Dear Prakhar Prakash
Step by Step process is as under:-

Create Result Analysis Keys as per your Production order Types in OKG1

Define secondry cost element with category 31 for your production order types.

Create Result Analysis Version in OKG9

Define Valuation Method for actual cost in OKGC

Define Line Ids for Result Analysis Version.

in OKGB you have to use your Result Analysis Keys against your Line ides(Requirement to Capitalize).

In OKGA Use Controllig Area, version and Result Analysis key along with each secondary cost element 31.

In OKG8 Use combination of Controlling Area, company code, Cost Element category 31 along with P&L WIP Account and Balance sheet WIP Account.

Thanks for your reply. There is no option to maintain different G/L account with respect to RA key in OKG8. There is option to maintain different G/L account against RA version which is not working as described above. Please let me know if I am missing something.

Try to maintain posting rules in WIP calculation (OKG8) which allows to maintain different account as per RA key
