Email address mandatory in vendor master contact person

Hi Team,

We have a requirement to set the email address in contact person of vendor master as mandatory. Is there a configuration to set the email address for a contact person under vendor master as mandatory

Hi,

As of my understanding, the contact person field can be controlled through field selection. However, as of my knowledge, there is no option in standard to control the email address field of the contact person in vendor master . If its mandatory, you may chekc the feasibility of development.

You cannot make this field mandatory through standard configuration so just use BADI "ADDR_PRINTFORM_SHORT"

Thanks Ankur. I do see last name in contact person mandatory in our system and was wondering if this is any setting

It's possible if you're talking about the email address in the Communication section for :Address. This is configuration (SPRO) but T-code is OMSX (Transaction-Dependent Field Selection (vendor). Then select Change/Create Vendor (Purchasing). Then select General Data. Then select Communication. Mark the field Internet mail address as a required entry (the default is set to Optional).

Note: There may be other related areas that also need to be changed to Required (example Partner) - but it depends on how you're set-up for business.

Thanks for your response. However this change is at the general data level of the vendor master. I wanted this mandatory at the contact person email address level
