Summarizing of ABAP CDS View for Consumption

Hi All

I have build a #BASIC view between VBAK and VBAP and brought all the fields that I need for my detail reporting and they have Key VBELN, Key POSNR. Also built #COMPOSITE and #CONSUMPTION views with same Keys, so all detail are available all the way to SAC. Now I need to display the sum of Sales by Sales org and material groups.Should I create a #CONSUMPTION view and ignore the keys?

Any Suggestions?

How do you plan to show the data..? Via ui5 smart controls? Or for some business logic?

With my detail view expose to SAC, it looks like SAC is doing the aggregation I expected and I may not need to create an additional Aggregated CDS View. if you think I should be aware of any other pitfalls let me know.

I am not sure how it works in SAC... But I can share my knowledge from odata perspective. Even if you maintain the key fields in the consumption view, SADL api will take care of the aggregation part. It will convert the odata query to select query(with aggregations) and give the data back. I am hoping it will be the same with SAC, if yes, you don't need to worry.

We plan to show as a KPI measures through SAC Dashboard as a single number, like Open SO Amt, Cancelled SO etc.
