Mixed Storage for multiple quants of the same Material SAP WM

Hello Experts,

We are implementing SAP WM in our WH. We will be not be allowing 2 different materials to be Putaway in the same Bin but we will be allowing different quants of the same Material in the same bin. Eg. Material 4711 cannot be putaway with Material 4712 already existing in the bin but material 4711 SLOC 0001 can be putaway in same bin as Material 4711 SLOC 0002 already existing in the bin.

I tried using Mixed Storage indicator "B" in the Storage Type Config but I am getting an error as "Mixed storage C only allowed in block storage managed for storage units Message No. LT085".

Please let me know what Storage Type config will be suitable for this situation?

You are trying to use mixed storage = B, which is reserved to storage types with storage unit management. Therefore you have to active SU management if you need to used mixed storage = B:
