How to copy the material master data from one sap to another sap using a file

Hi,

I an new to all this, I have a SAP system (location A) that has a number of materials configured, and another SAP system (location B) that does not have any.

Could any one provide me with a link or steps on how I can get the materials from Location A transferred to location B?

I was looking at BD10 but cannot see how I can get a local file created.

This is a little complicated to answer without knowing more about your landscape. If you're in two separate "boxes" then it's one technique or if in the same landscape it's another. But basically there are a number of ways to do this (interfaces) depending on the tools you have available. I'd suggest talking with a BASIS expert.

NOTE: When "transferring" materials between systems...there will be multiple steps involved. For example, you may need Material Master data, BOMS, Routings, Purchasing documents etc...
