Hi,
We have a requirement of updating the Component Coefficient in IBP based on Valid from - valid to dates in S/4 BOM, example in a BOM for PRD1@LOC1 the same component could have different quantity based on different validity dates. How do we map this in CPI-DS. We have a Time profile with 104 weeks so I understand the Valid to will be adjusted accordingly.
LOCID PRDFR PRDID SOURCEID Comp Qty Valid from Valid to LOC1 COMP1 PRD1 PRD1_LOC1_0001 10 Current week June 2019 LOC1 COMP1 PRD1 PRD1_LOC1_0001 15 July 2019 Dec 9999 LOC1 COMP2 PRD1 PRD1_LOC1_0001 5 Aug 2019 Dec 9999 LOC1 COMP3 PRD1 PRD1_LOC1_0001 8 Current week Dec 9999What do we map below in order to populate validity based data in IBP
LOCID PRDFR PRDID SOURCEID KEYFIGUREDATE COMPCOEFFThanks,
Tejinder
Hello,
In IBP Time-Series Supply Planning, there's no standard functionality to configure validity for Component Coefficient. What is possible though, is the definition of validities for a Production Source of Supply. This is done via the MDT Production Source Validity, which is documented in the Help Portal page. Still, I don't think it a simple way to achieve your expectation.
Another way to possibly achieve this, instead of using validity dates, you could just upload the data in the Key Figure COMPONENTCOEFFIENT in the dates in which it's within the validity.
Best regards,
Matheus

Hello Matheus,
Thanks for your reply, in fact we are planning to load COMPONENTCOEFFIENT only within the dates of validity. This is where my question was, more on CPI-DS.
If my source table as Component Valid from, Valid to, component qty how will CPI-DS read these dates and populate COMPONENTCOEFFIENT only during those weeks? Is there any logic in CPI-DS to read the valid from date and populate COMPONENTCOEFFIENT based on either Valid-To or number of weeks from Valid-from?
Thanks,
Tejinder
Hi Tejinder,
I think this is possible since CPI is flexible, but I don't know how to configure it.
If no one in IBP side is able to answer this question, you may also ask in the SAP Cloud Platform Integration area: https://answers.sap.com/tags/01200615320800003694
Best regards,
Matheus
