Configuring an Ad Hoc Workflow Definition for work item : SAP IPD Collaboration

Hello Experts,

We recently got a new IPD tenant in SAP HANA cloud. I followed SAP document for IPD collaboration - Business configuration. I configured the AdHoc workflow for work-item also, using the same document.

I face few issues after the configuration.

  1. Adding Work Item: I assigned the task to one of the participants and added to collaboration. Task is ready in the participant's inbox however participant receives the mail thrice.
  2. Adding Participant to collaboration: I add user group to the participants in collaboration, they disappear after I add them.
  3. Adding Workflow Property: There is no possibility to add different controls, other than input field, while entering workflow property values. For example: There is no option to allow user to add combo box or drop-down list control for workflow property values to be entered.

Please help me.

w.r.t.

    are all the three emails identical/duplicates?
    There may be issues with the workflow definition; please try the following and share your findings;
    1. Download the file attached - sap-ipd-adhoc-wi-def.txt
    2. Go to your Workspace in SAP Web IDE Full-Stack
    3. Create a new Workflow project
    4. Import the file downloaded
    5. Rename the file and change the extension ".workflow" and save
    6. Open this workflow file; you'll observe a pop-up "Externalizing scripts for script tasks"
    7. You should be prompted an information pop-up; click Ok
    8. Locate the file prepareEmailScript.js; edit the URL and save
    9. Deploy this workflow to SAP Cloud Platform
    10. Go to My Collaboration application and add a work item
    Does user get multiple email notification now?
  2. Adding Participant to collaboration: I add user group to the participants in collaboration, they disappear after I add them.
    please verify if the Destination for SAP Document Center Validation is as per documentation
    Note: the user/client used for the destination should have the SAP Document Center(mobiledocs) Administrator role
  3. Adding Workflow Property: There is no possibility to add different controls, other than input field, while entering workflow property values. For example: There is no option to allow user to add combo box or drop-down list control for workflow property values to be entered.
    currently text input field is only supported for workflow properties with Allow Changes at Runtime enabled.

If the user wants to select the assignee(s) for a workflow at run-time and has a business role relevant property defied for a task in the workflow definition; Assign Users to Business Role option can checked for such properties. This will enable a dynamic participant select option on Add Workflow action for Work Items section in Collaboration.
