Hi experts,

My projects are made plant specific in sap ps. my requirement is I want to give authorizations for persons based on only their assigned project . Means persons should not allow to do some transactions like cost planning,budgeting etc for other projects. is it possible? If yes then please guide me.

Individual project access control is handled with ACL (Access Control List). It's configured in PS.

Hi,

I am not sure about the business scenario where you want to restrict uses based on Project ID. You do this kind of security setup in Projectised organization where there is always dedicated project team and projects are long term projects.

To answer your question, you will be able to provide authorization based on Project definition (C_PROJ_VNR), project profile (I assume you might have defined this by plant), project type, etc. The function of planning and budgeting usually are shared function where users access different projects. If that's the case then I suggest to revisit your security design of restricting users by project definition.

Thank you sir. It is retail industry. Every time New Project code is created for new plant.Example M-1212 is project code for plant 1212. Is it possible like config person responsible and assigned it to work center (plant). Can we restrict by this?
